American Jewell Coffee Bean as a newborn!  She would later win Reserve Grand Junior Champion at the 2021 AGS National Show and her sister won 2nd place in her class at the 2021 ADGA National Show!

Rosebay Ridge Sneau Dove and her buckling that was born in the back of my Ford Bronco on the way to the vet!  I thought we had a dystocia of this large single buckling until I heard the snuffling sounds of a newborn kid while I was on the interstate.

GOAT KIDS FOR SALE:

  •  Unborn kids can be reserved without a deposit. A deposit of $100 will bump you up the list and will be deducted from the price of the kid once born.  Deposit will be returned if desired breeding does not yield available kids.
  • Once born, availability will be determined by breeder and offers made for available animals.
  •  American Jewell Farm withholds the right to retain any kid from any breeding or to offer reserved  kid to a performance home to ensure best fit for the particular kid and buyer.
  • When offered, goat kids can be held with a half down (or mutually agreed upon) NONREFUNDABLE deposit and must be paid in full before leaving the farm.
  • All kids are disbudded. If you want a horned kid, then it must be paid for in advance since there  is a limited demand for horned kids.
  • Our buck kids sold as wethers are sold without papers but are intact (unless arrangements have  been made for the buyer to have them castrated sooner, at their cost) since delayed castration  is beneficial to the bucklings health.
  • We will not sell one goat (adult or baby) by itself unless there is already at least one goat at the  new home.
  • Kids are sold with registration papers or applications from ADGA unless otherwise specified.
  • If the kid(s) are being dam raised, we wean around 8-10 weeks of age. Kids must be picked up  within 2 weeks of weaning, or a $2 per day boarding fee will be charged. If the kid has not been  picked up within 30 days from the date of weaning, unless mutually agreed upon in writing, the  sale will be considered forfeited and any fees paid nonrefundable.
  • Bottle babies can be picked up prior to (but not later than) 8 weeks of age, depending on the  purchaser’s experience raising bottle kids.
  • We do not guarantee health of any goats once they  leave our farm and are outside of our control. Should the animal die or become gravely injured  while on our premises, and in our care, any payments will be refunded. Stress is quite common  in both kids and adults of all ages when moved from one place to another. Illness, disease, and  in rare cases death can occur if the animal is not properly handled or treated. We will not be  responsible for stress/illness/sickness of any kind after the animal leaves our farm. For that  reason, all sales are final once the animal leaves our farm.

 ADULT ANIMALS:

  • You are always welcome to inquire about goats that are not posted for sale since many that I've sold were done so without posting publicly.  We are a show herd and make really difficult cuts of high quality animals to move our breeding program along without growing the herd exponentially.
  • Goats can be held with a half down (or mutually agreed upon) NON-REFUNDABLE deposit and must be  paid for in full before leaving the farm.
  • Deposits are taken on a first-come first serve basis, and NO GOATS WILL BE HELD WITHOUT A DEPOSIT  IN HAND.
  • Adult goats can be held at the farm for 2 weeks while arrangements are made for pick up, after that, a  $2 per day boarding fee will be charged.
  • If the goat has not been picked up within 30 days from the date of sale, unless mutually agreed upon in  writing for them to stay longer, the sale will be considered forfeited and any fees paid non-refundable.

  •  Should the animal die or become gravely injured  while on our premises, and in our care, any payments will be refunded.
  • Stress is quite common  in both kids and adults of all ages when moved from one place to another. Illness, disease, and  in rare cases death can occur if the animal is not properly handled or treated. We will not be  responsible for stress/illness/sickness of any kind after the animal leaves our farm. For that  reason, all sales are final once the animal leaves our farm.
  • Pedigree: Our goats are registered with ADGA unless otherwise specified. If we bred the animal,  we guarantee the sire and dam are correct. We DO NOT guarantee the validity of the rest of the  pedigree, or pedigree of animals we did not breed, as it is simply out of our ability to know/verify  goat lineage from other herds is 100% accurate.
  • We guarantee that the animals we sell to be free from teat defects, undescended testicles, or  freemartin status and will replace such animals if found at a later date.  In some cases, we may ask for a letter from a veterinarian or for genetic testing to prove freemartin status.
  • We do not guarantee adult height on young animals sold but will disclose when an adult animal for  sale is known to be over height for ADGA standards.
  • We do NOT guarantee the offspring of an animals we've sold to be free of all genetic defects as there are too many  genetic factors that come to play with breeding goats, especially with the common practice of  linebreeding.

  •  Payment: We accept checks (must have time to clear the bank before animal leaves), PAY PAL, Venmo, Facebook pay,  and cash. If you wish to pay via PAY PAL you will be responsible for any transaction fees  associated with that form of payment, or payments should be made using “friends and family.”
  • Balance of payment on your goat or goats will be due upon notification that they are ready to  leave for their new home and must be paid in full prior to the time of transport.
  • All shipping  costs (transportation, heath certificates, testing, crates etc.) are the buyer’s responsibility.
  • By  purchasing a goat from us, you agree that you have read, understand, and will adhere to the  conditions set forth in this purchase agreement.
  • Seller requests courtesy of first opportunity to purchase back any animals that the buyer  decides to sell down the road. Due to biosecurity interests or financial constraints, not all goats  will be bought back when offered but this courtesy is greatly appreciated.
  • Deposits received acknowledge acceptance of this purchase agreement.
