Dawnland RR Whirligig

Dawnland RR Whirligig

DOB: 6/4/16

Sired by Poppy Patch JC Royal Rebel and out of Dawnland Tabby's Whirlabout.    Whirligig is a stunning  doe with incredible depth, width, dairy character and a beautiful udder.   Everything about her mesmerizes me.  Her topline, long level rump, long/ graceful neck, brisket extension, angularity and her intelligence.  Her udder is well attached, has a notable MSL, and plumb teats.  This girl is the whole package and I'm grateful to have her as our herd queen.

Sired by Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby +*S and TX Twincreeks WDF Butterfly Dance-  this little doe won Grand Champion/ BOB at her first show as a 4 year old third freshener in 2015- beating 26 other does!  When you look at the number of permanent champions on either side, it is quite easy to see why Whirlabout is so nice.  From her graceful neck to her long level rump and beautiful topline, this doe's conformation is truly a show stopper.

Casco is a gorgeous doeling out of lines that I know and love. Her grandparents include: Old Mountain Farm JustPlainJoe, SG Old Mountain Farm Katja Quinn, SG Old Mountain Farm Bold Elk +*B, and Old Mountain Farm Parti Favah!!!     She is smoothly blended, stands on correct feet/ legs, and has a presence that turns heads in the show ring.  I can't thank Julie Mannix of Old School Creamery enough for allowing me to be her 2-Leg.

Fancy is a very similarly bred doe to Squid Ink:  same sire and dams are littermate sisters!  This black beauty is long and deep bodied but her mammary system is what really excites me.  She has the plump/ well placed teats that come down from Promisedland Legacy Lonnie and her mammary system is extremely well attached.

Mercy is a great granddaughter of Old Mountain Farm Stag and is a long, dairy, and powerful looking doe with a fantastic front end on her.  With the udder genetics behind her, we are really thrilled to have Mercy in our breeding program.  Mercy won Grand Champion Junior Doe in a show with 69 junior does and made the top cut at the 2021 ADGA National show!!!

BEST IN SHOW!

Coffee Bean is one of a set of triplet doelings and is out of our first set of kids sired by Valley's-Edge L.L. Bean.  She is polled, has blue eyes, and is covered with moon spots but it's much more exciting than that.  Her dam's udder is just perfection and her pedigree is packed with beautiful dairy goats. Coffee Bean won Reserve Grand Junior Doe at the 2021 AGS Nationals, made the top cut in the 2021 ADGA Nationals, and won Grand Champion Junior Doe / Best In Show at the 2021 Flatwater Classic show!!!

DOB: 1/26/2021

I sent Whimsi off, as a newborn bottle baby, to Erika Streeter and was so excited when she made the cut at 2021 ADGA Nationals as a senior kid.  She won a Junior Reserve Champion that same show season and was one of Erika's main "party goats" for her goat rental business.  Whimsi is not afraid of anyone or anything and was quite a representative for the breed.  Eventually, Erika's focus was on full sized dairy goats to run her dairy operation and Whimsi was the token Nigerian Dwarf goat there.  Erika sent Whimsi back to me in 2024 and I'm so grateful.  She is a long, deep, level doe with oodles of dairy strength.  Her udder goes beyond all my expectations!  Whimsi will be back in the show ring in 2026 where I'm sure she will shine.

I usually don't take small juniors to shows but I had a good feeling about Belle-Marina.  Not only did she win Grand Champion Junior Doe but she won Best in Show!  Marina has matured into a beautiful doe with a well attached mammary system.  There really isn't much about this doe that I don't love.

Eclair's dam, FeatherNScale Honey Lemon, is one of my favorite does I've ever owned.  She is the epitome of femininity with her length of body and dairy character.  Crossing her with my favorite buck, Beans, was an outcross/ experimental breeding and I wasn't sure how those lines would cross.  Well, Lemon Eclair is one of the triplets from that breeding and I absolutely LOVE her.  She is dairy without being too refined and her udder is just perfect.  Eclair won Reserve Grand Champion at Show Me Show Off and, then, took her first Grand Champion win at the IDGA Spring Fling with over 95 milking does in Colfax, IA!

Ever since learning of the legendary Promisedland MG Diva and seeing how well her daughters are performing in the showring and milkstand, I've kept my eyes open for a daughter of my own.  While not a daughter, this Diva granddaughter came available this year and I did not hesitate to bring her into my herd.  Birdie's length of body, long level rump, and breathtaking general conformation make me excited to work with her genetics.  Birdie is 22" at the withers.

Nutmeg was a gorgeous doe who earned her permanent championship status in, both, ADGA and AGS while also earning her AR for milk production.  Her dam and sire were out of some of the earliest Nigerian Dwarf foundation lines such as Goodwood, Gay-Mor, Stonewall, Pine Cone Valley, and Brush Creek.

And, while she may have been born 19 1/2 years ago, this doe is proof that some of the early dairy animals could still be very successful competing with many of today's goats.

Nilam Bukit was a gorgeous doeling out of Rosasharn FS Patchouli that died at a young age at another farm.  You can see from the picture how her first freshening udder turned out and I have no doubt that she would've continued to turn heads with that mammary system.  Quite honestly, it's the mammary system that I would love to have on every goat at my farm.
